7 Anaconda Activations That Will Go Down in HISS-tory

Movie poster with two surprised men wrapped in a large snake, set against a background with repeated red text "ACTIVATIONS." Text reads "ANACONDA, exclusively in theaters Christmas."

Anaconda, a reboot and the sixth film in the Anaconda franchise, returns to theaters this Christmas. We can’t wait to re-enter the rainforest and see how these friends handle the giant anaconda that threatens their film’s production. To celebrate the release, Team OC put together 6 Anaconda activations sure to have moviegoers slithering to your cinema.

  1. Animal Handler 🐍

Invite a local animal handler to your cinema to bring live reptiles for a weekend matinee screening. Audience members will be excited to meet the real-life animal behind the film before seeing it on the big screen! Encourage audience members to post images of themselves holding the reptiles on social media and tag your cinema.

  1. Gummy Snakes🪱

Offer a discount on all gummy worms sold during opening weekend in honor of the film’s release. Encourage moviegoers to try different flavors, making it seem as if they are truly exploring the Amazon.

  1. DIY Rainforest Lobby Decor🌴

Transform your cinema lobby into a jungle during opening weekend by incorporating fun activities, like scavenger hunts or photo ops, that will be sure to engage your audience. Hide a pretend snake somewhere in the cinema or have a backdrop where moviegoers can take photos. Incorporate DIY rainforest decor to truly immerse your audience into the experience. Encourage people to post and tag your cinema for further reach.

  1. “Mid-life crisis” bundle 🎟️

Offer a “mid-life crisis” ticket bundle inspired by the four person friend group at the heart of the film. Sell bundles of four tickets along with a concessions package as a humorous way to engage with the target audience for this film.

  1. Custom Jungle Wear Station 🎨

Invite moviegoers to design their own jungle outfits either digitally on social media or physically at the cinema. Offer a coloring/art station or organize an art gallery in the lobby where moviegoers can submit their work to be showcased.

  1. Fan Recreations 💬

Encourage fans to recreate their favorite scenes from the original film, repost your favorites, and even turn it into a contest where the entry with the most likes wins tickets to see the film! Ask followers to tag your cinema in any recreated scenes, and whoever gets the most likes within a week-long period wins free tickets to a future screening. This is a great way to tie in the movie’s plot, as the characters are also recreating the original film.

  1. Custom Cocktail 🍸

Create a custom Snake Bite cocktail with a grenadine floater and a gummy worm garnish. This explosion of flavor is sure to excite audiences about what awaits them in the movie. You can also rename a recipe already on the menu, making this an easy way to engage audiences.

This reboot of the Anaconda franchise is sure to excite both new + existing fans. We can’t wait to see what impact the snake will have on the production of our main protags’ movie. Team OC will be at the cinema opening weekend, ready to return to the jungle.
